1.2 mil CP Laminating Film |
Why Change to 1.2 mil CP Film? |
- A low melt temperature. Because the 1.2 mil CP film activates between 210 and 230 degrees, a full 50-75 degrees lower than standard laminating films, your warm-up time is decreased and there is less strain on your laminator.
- The aggressive adhesive really sticks! When laminating thick materials such as construction paper, poster board, or several sheets of paper glued together, it is not unusual to have problems with your lamination adhering. Your worries are over! We have tested the 1.2 mil film on these tough-to-laminate projects with excellent results.
- Larger 1000’ rolls reduce waste and save time. Most problems occur with a laminator when the rolls of laminating film are changed. Also, every time the film is changed, the first 2-10’ is wasted while threading the laminator and adjusting the tension. Rather than changing every 500’, you can cut your number of film changes in half, saving film, time, and possibly costly repairs.
- Save money. Although the price per roll of the 1.2 mil CP film is a bit higher than the 1.5 mil PET or 1.7 mil CP films, you are getting twice as much laminating film. Overall, the cost per foot is less than standard laminating film.
- Pay less in shipping. Each package that is shipped costs you money. Since more film is packaged onto a roll, you can reduce the number of rolls that you normally order, reducing your shipping costs.
- Make your old laminator new! As your laminator ages, you may notice that it does not heat up as quickly, it may not hold its temperature well, or may even not heat up to the temperature required for most laminating films. The 1.2 mil CP film solves this problem with its lower melt point and superior adhesion.
- Superior clarity. The CP films have excellent clarity, which makes all of your projects stand out while being protected.
- A single sided option. While not specifically designed for single-sided laminating, the 1.2 mil CP film will work in some applications because of its thickness. The polyester base makes it easier to work with than similar Oriented Polypropylene (OPP) films and, unlike most single-side laminating films, is available on a 1” core.
- MADE IN THE USA! Not only do we stock an ample supply of the 1.2 mil CP film, it is manufactured in the USA, and that reduces lead times. This product and all of our PET and CP film are ISO 9001:2000 certified.
