WHY DO I NEED A BINDING SYSTEM?
BINDING SYSTEMS: WHAT ARE MY CHOICES?
WHICH BINDING SYSTEM IS RIGHT FOR ME?

Do I Need a Binding System?

If you want to produce professional-looking documents right at your desk, you need a binding system. The cost and effort to produce a bound document is much smaller than you might think! Here are some of the results you can expect:

  • A bound presentation document impresses your client.
  • Bound training material is organized and durable.
  • Bound books are economical and easy to make.
  • You can bind calendars, journals, scrapbooks, and much, much more.
At Laminator Warehouse, we have binding systems for commercial use and for personal and home office use. We have the right binding system for you.

Binding Systems: What are my Choices?

At Laminator Warehouse, we offer four different types of binding systems. Within each type, there are several systems to choose from, to accommodate the volume of binding that you expect.

coil binding sample Coil (Spiral) Binding: Economical, efficient, and attractive, coil binding has become a widely popular method of document production. Round holes are punched into the document, and then a plastic coil is easily threaded into the holes in a matter of seconds. The finished document lies flat when opened and will fold back a full 360 degrees! The flexibility of the plastic coil makes it safe for mailing. Note: You will need a coil crimper to fasten the coil so it will not roll out of the document. Some of our coil binding machines include a crimper as part of the system. Please check the specifications to be sure.
wire binding sample Wire Binding: Double wire binding is both durable and attractive. The binding machine is used to punch round or square holes in the document. The binding machine also has a closer that is used to clamp the wire binding together. Like the coil binding method, wire binding produces documents that lie flat when opened and fold back smoothly. The binding is sturdy enough to use for hanging documents like calendars. And it is tough enough for mailing.
comb binding sample Plastic Comb Binding: The most economical binding method, plastic comb binding (commonly called 19-ring plastic comb binding) has been around for many years and remains a popular choice today. The binding machine punches square holes into the document and then is used to close the binding (called a comb) into the holes. The bound document lies flat when opened, and pages can be removed from or added to the document.
unibind binding sample Steel Binding: UniBind® steel binding systems offer an innovative solution for binding small to large volume applications. No punching or inserting are necessary. Binding is a thermal process that requires only 90 seconds to complete. Each system has a cooling bay for finished documents. Editing a page is simple and fast with this system.

There are other ways to bind books too! If you need to staple large quantities of booklets, the BookletMac Semi-Automatic Booklet Maker may be right for you. Or if you want to bind samples together, you may be interested in our eyelet punch and binding tool.
